9th International CSVN Computer Chess Championship 2009

HIARCS won the 9th International CSVN Computer Chess Championship in Leiden, The Netherlands. HIARCS becomes the first winner of the new Theo van der Storm trophy. It is an honour for HIARCS to win this popular and friendly tournament.

Particular thanks must go to Harvey Williamson for preparing and operating HIARCS in the tournament, Sebastian Boehme for his book preparations and Rob Osborne for his great support at almost any hour.

Many thanks also to our hardware supplier www.yoyotech.co.uk and Intel for the YOYOTech Chaturanga.

Unfortunately we had some hardware issues and Rob Osborne very kindly stepped in and let us use his SkullTrail and Rob also kept the games updated on Playchess as they were played. We owe Rob a debt of gratitude as he has helped us tremendously in previous tournaments too and without his help Hiarcs may not of achieved the results it has.

Below you can see the games from the tournament. In particular chess players will enjoy wonderful attacking game against Ktula which you can view and play through here
