Matches with dedicated chess computersA comprehensive set of matches have been run by Clive Munro, an independent computer chess tester. These chess matches have taken place over the last 6 months between the best Palm chess software and the best dedicated chess computers. The games were all played at Game in 60 minutes. The Palm chess programs all ran on a standard Zire 21.

Palm HIARCS scored a sensational match win 3-1 with 2 wins and 2 draws. The match took place on the Chessbase Play Chess Internet Server in the machine room. The rate of play was game in 30 minutes with 10 seconds extra per move. All the games were hard fought and our respect goes to GM Jan Gustafsson for taking up the challenge and playing for the win in each game.
